Things I don't understand

I just don't understand when people say:

A : I am a big fan of **insert singer name**.
Me: You mean you own all of his/her albums?
B : Nolah, I am not that richlah. I had all her mp3s in my computer.
Me: =.="

I just don't understand how people have the face of proclaiming to be a fan of a singer when they don't even buy a single original album to support their favourite singers.
