Heroes Season 2 Rants

SPOILER ALERT: This post contains heavy spoilers for the 2nd season of Heroes. You had been warned :-P

Like many Heroes fans out there, I was quite disappointed at how the second season of Heroes played out. I mean the first 2 episodes started out nicely but as soon as it hit the 3rd episode things started to go downhill. Sylar was relegated into a side show, Micah and Monica story-arc serves no purpose and don't even get me started with all the cheesy love stories playing out all at once this season.

Just when all things look bleak for Season 2 things got somewhat interesting when we found out that Takezo Kensei was actually Adam Monroe, the person who founded the company who was also a huge influence of Linderman's 0.07% theory in Season 1. What makes things even more interesting is how Hiro Nakamura is indirectly responsible for everything that ever happened to the world so far and also how the world is going to end in another year's time.

Just when Heroes started to get me interested again, the producers announced that due to the Writer's Strike the season will end with Episode 11. With only one episode to go I was crossing my fingers and hope that Season 2 will end with a cliffhanger and continues with Season 3 as I feel there isn't much build up yet for the Virus story arc to end just yet but unfortunately the think otherwise and ended the story arc at the season finale. Everything in the season finale looks extremely rushed. The showdown between Hiro and Peter sucked badly and Adam Monroe this season's big baddie was relegated badly into nothing more than an extra just to make Hiro Nakamura look good. What is even more frustrating is that they did not tie up the loose ends which leaves more questions than answers such as what happened to Kaitlin? A few minutes ago Peter was so determine to get her back and when things settled down he just forgot all about her? Or where is The Haitian? Just when you think he is going to have an important role this season he disappeared into thin air... again. Why didn't the founders just killed Adam when they knew that blowing his head off will kill him?

After what was a rollercoaster ride that was Season 1, Season 2 is nothing but a Go-kart that refuses to break 30km/h. Let's just hope Heroes can redeem itself next season.

P.S: Who the hell shot Nathan? Hopefully its not Noah if not it will be pretty damn predictable.

Oops my bad...

Gotta thank Sheena for pointing out the part which I had misread in my previous post (which is now deleted btw to save myself from further embarassment :P). Thanks again and apologies to all good doctors (none for the bad ones of course heh)....

Dear Proton (Car with a religion?)

Please don't make us feel stupid more then we are feeling now? Please? As if your Ministers haven't embarrassed us Malaysians enough with this and this, you have to declare to the whole World that you are manufacturing a car that has a religion.

Compare to that retard of an idea, I guess the Persona doesn't seem to stupid after all.

Only in Malaysia, only in Malaysia....

Well why am I not surprise that Anwar is threatened with jail time by the ACA despite being an "agent" of the whistleblower by revealing the Lingam-gate video? After all I was a victim of such "scare" tactics only mine is employed on a "University level" more than a year ago. May God have mercy on us Malaysians.

WTF?

Here's what to expect if you are planning to read The Star today.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

World's most luckiest unemployed man (that is if you don't consider being a VP of the fucked up FAM a job that is)... have a quarter page dedicated to his new-born son while the former Prime Minister of Malaysia:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

had such a small column that you can't even detect without the magnifying glass.

Look, Khairy ain't no Tom Cruise or is he Brad Pitt... so why on earth does he had a special column dedicated to how his son is named? Mainstream media have nothing better to report than to bodek both the Son-in-Law and the Father-in-law? No wonder people rather read blogs... Let's just pray that the Tun don't read the newspapers today.

Of Cops and Priorities

In elsewhere in the World whenever a sick and disgusting murder like Nurin's case occur, the first thing the cops will do is catch that sick bastard and put him behind bars as soon as possible. Unfortunately for all of us, this is Malaysia. Where the cops main priority is to charge the victim's parents first and think about the murderer later.

If that's not enough you have other 3rd World Ministers endorsing which defies all logic. Just when you think that Ministers putting the blame on women for snatch thefts and rape cases is disgusting, this my dear Malaysians is a whole new fucking level of how low our government is willing to go to screw us all.

I guess we are so fucked that even Turkey declares that they do not want to be Malaysia. Syabas BN! Hmmm... guess I will place Turkey under my "places-to-runaway-to-in-case-Malaysia-is-seriously-screwed" list.

50th Merdeka... Is there anything left to celebrate anymore?

Crime rates..... Prosecution and detainment of bloggers..... Demonizing a local born music genius for expressing his views..... fledging economy.... racial segregation is at its peak and the powers that be seems more interested to keep it that way instead of uniting us....

Even when our athletes are competing in international tournaments I find myself hoping that they will lose so that they can free themselves from being yet another photo-op for some attention whoring politicians... or worse helping the ruling parties in their campaigns. Even National Day is nothing but a sorry excuse for ministers to place their face on banners in public places.

There is truly nothing left for us Malaysians to celebrate anymore come this National Day....

Sandiwara in the making Part 2

God bless MCA for two great plays that they had produced for specially for us Malaysian Chinese over the past few weeks. Just when I thought that only Yasmin Ahmad is the only capable film maker in this country, MCA have to just come along and prove me wrong. To those who had missed it, here's a recap on two of these two great films produced by MCA:

Namewee

Starring: Doctor Chua, Various Ministers, with cameo appearance by Namewee

This is perhaps one of the best film I had seen this year. The story all started out about a little boy who is so unsatisfied with what is going on and decided to express his feelings through his talents which happens to be music. It became an instant hit overnight with critics praising him and he gain many fans. All seem to go well for this boy until the villain of the story which starred various ministers decided to go into overkill by suing his ass off for a rule which will be custom made later just for him.

Just when all hope seems lost for this little boy, a superhero doctor by the name of Dr. Chua decided to come in and save the day acting as a mobile condom and shielding him from the deadly Seditious Act virus that he is prone to get. Credit goes to Dr Chua for his awesome acting skills for making this play a success. Not many actors can act out this role with such drama and not laughing at how freakin' silly it is at the same time. Currently this play is still playing in all your local papers nearly on a daily basis. So do catch it if you had missed the first few episodes.

Overall Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5

Where's the Translation? (A Malaysian sequel to the movie Lost in Translation)

Starring: Datuk Liow with cameo appearance by The Son-In-Law®

In perhaps one of the best play that had ever been produced by any local production companies, Where's the Translation is perhaps one of the best ever. It all started out slowly in a simple yet touching scene about a man giving a speech to the people. Just when you think this is what this play is over, WHAM! it hit you like a speeding train with its moving climax with Datuk Liow giving a fiery speech while holding a book directing at everybody's favourite Son-In-Law® while he was watching. The play ended with The Son-In-Law® saying that he don't understand what Datuk Liow is saying as his fiery speech was in another language which leaves the audience roaring with laughter.

Overall rating: 5 stars out of 5. The transition from a serious flick into a full blown comedy is flawless. It really takes someone way above the likes of Stephen Chow to do it. Kudos MCA!

Thank you MCA for these entertainment to turn us away from our countries grave problems. After all we the people do need to take our minds off the soaring crime rates and many other problems eating up our country.

Do check out Part 1 of this post here.

Government nothing better to do?

You know our country is going to hell when the Cabinet is not discussing about the rising crime rates, the not-so-feel-good economy, racism or the rotting education system but about a Youtube video which is about a guy singing our national anthem in a much different way then it is suppose to?

Our country is rotting right in front of our eyes and all these Ministers are talking about Youtube and a guy who is expressing his frustration with his great talents? I am not trying to be rude here my dear Yang Berhormat's, Datuk's, Tan Sri's or any other God-knows-what title you gave yourself just to make your penis sounds longer, for God's sake-or-what-ever-you-believe-in please do your job and stop discussing meaningless shit in your cabinet meetings? Well even if you do want to continue to discuss shit in your meetings PLEASE DON'T PUBLICIZE IT IN YOUR NEWSPAPERS and insult our intelligence.

Do you guys even care about the crime rates? Do you guys even care whether the rakyat suffer due to the ever increasing inflation rates in our daily necessities? Had you ever wondered why Malaysians always seek to migrate whenever they had a chance?

Now if you'll excuse me, I will be looking at the World map.....

In Loving Memory....

Time flies and it had been one year since you left. To a friend that I loved but neglected when he is still alive, a friend that lend a helping hand when I am in need, a friend whom I will forever remember in heart.... May you find never ending happiness wherever you are and may you find peace there.

Goodbye again my dear friend, and yes I still miss you and I guess a lot of us still do. Til' we meet again.

Sandiwara in the making?

I don't know about you but this scene seems awfully familiar. Boss goes out of town, his managers says something awfully unpopular, the managers' lackeys then push lowly employees here and there in the meantime, boss returns and says something popular, media praises boss for being an uber genius and swept everything under the rug and everything just goes happily ever after and the rakyat will still continue to vote the same way they vote for the past 50 years. Rinse and repeat.

I don't know about you but it seems that step 1, 2 and 3 had been implemented already so far and now all we need to do is wait til' the boss returns to execute the last 2 steps.

This my friends is playing to the gallery at the highest level that no keris wielding man or attention whoring son-in-laws can ever match.

UPDATE: Seems like I am right after all. Mr. Number 1 came back from his holiday and declare this country a "not secular nor Islamic state". Wow... why didn't I think of that?

Disturbing

I find this line in the newspaper today very shocking and disturbing.

" “They are the only aircraft available to carry out operations. We can’t stop using them. We pray that such accidents will not happen again

So right now the only solution to prevent such crashes in the future is to... just pray? Imagine the next time a Nuri crash again don't be surprised if Najib says this:

"We had tried our best to pray but unfortunately it just happens."

Some Updates ^_^

Alright in case any of you are wondering where on earth I had been since I am no where to be found inside or around MMU and even my lack of online presence... I am still pretty much alive ^_^. For most of you had known that I will not graduate (unfortunately) until the end of this year due to two freakin' subjects, I am back in my hometown where the next GTA game will be based on.... Johor Bahru :-P working part time as a remisier's a.k.a stock broker's assistant in... where else... a stock broking firm.

In case you go "WTFZOMGBBQ?" on me and ask how on earth an IT-two-subjects-to-become-a-fresh-grad is working as a remisier's assistant, well simply because that remisier who employed me is my cousin. Well if you are wondering if an IT student can survive in an all-business-no-internet environment, honestly speaking... yes but with lots of screw-ups. You know stuff like mistaking sell for buy and never remind a client that he oversold his shares and stuff like that. But hey, I am thankful my cousin is very patient with me and taught me very well so that I won't screw up....much.

If you are asking me about my pay, well its not much. But hey, the things I learn there beat the hell out of industrial training where I worked like a donkey and learn shit. At least I learn lots of stuffs that most Business students don't even know they exists.

So yeah, I am currently quite happy with my life right now. Nice job, friends are all back in this cowboy town again, Hollywood's summer offering doesn't suck anymore and most importantly I lost some weight ^_^.

Four Days...

Four days is all we had left before I say goodbye to most of my friends and housemates as they will move on to their next phase of life while I am still stuck here.

Four days, is all we had left in our fate will reach its final destination as we make a transit in the next station of life as I remain on this very train.

Four days, is all we had left to laugh, shout and whine before we might not have the chance to do it again.

Four days, is all we had left before we wish that we can relive our University days.

Goodbye to all my close friends. Goodbye Yu Xin. Goodbye Melvin. As together we form the "Steel Triangle". Goodbye Cow Cow (Liang Peng) as I will miss our arguments over politics and your bragging ;). Goodbye Kenneth and may we meet in Azeroth once you graduated. Goodbye KK as I will miss your humourous banters and your carefree attitude towards life. Goodbye Cuin Hao, our only "female" housemate. Goodbye to Ice, one of my best friend in MMU ever since Alpha, don't always say I forget about you haha. Goodbye to everyone that had cross paths with me and will be graduating this year.

Goodbye and thanks for all the memories. May all of you have a nice journey on the next train of life. God Bless.

P.S: To those who don't know, I still have one more trimester to go before I officially graduate which unfortunately falls on the 3 trimester. So you guys should be able to see me then ;)

OMFG~ IT'S FINALLY OFFICIAL!!!!

Starcraft 2 IS OFFICIAL BABEH~~~~ OMFG it's been like... almost a freaking decade since they left this great universe they had created. After scrapping the console-only third person action game Ghost just a few months before its release date had a lot of fans guessing is Starcraft 2 in the horizon? I mean Blizzard did cancel their adventure click-em' up Warcraft Adventures and went straight to Warcraft 3. Fuck all that, it's now finally official! The sequel to the legendary myth-like game Starcraft is finally announced!

In a very typical Blizzard fashion, there is NO release date (talk about hyping the crowd eh?). I am guessing a 2008 release date to coincide with it's 10th anniversary.

It's normal for MPs...

And so the great Nazri said:

“The two MPS were not giving speeches in the House, in which they can be accountable if their speech text had the offending words.

“I’m sure they didn’t have an agenda against Fong.

“But if they had offended women in general, that is another matter altogether. Then it’s up to them to apologise to women in general,” he added.

Nazri said it was unfortunate that the press had played up the incident, adding that it was part and parcel of parliamentary debates, and parliamentarians should not be easily offended by the heckling between one another.

Such unguarded outbursts always happen during debates and unfortunately the press had played up the issue, he said. -Source-

So you are telling me MPs (both from ruling party and opposition alike) insulting each other and acting as if they never even graduate from primary school is part and parcel of a "normal" parliamentary debate? You are telling me that any angry MP can just say something sexists and to a certain degree, sexually harrass, the other MP is normal? Didn't that Fong guy just said that bosses will be fine if they fail to take action to sexual harassment allegations? I see double standards here?

If you say insulting MPs during debates are normal, Mr. Nazri sir, then fuck Vision 2020 and set our vision to Vision 20,200BC where we can beat and insult each other like cavemen. Heck, you can accelerate this vision by canceling off a need for a Parliament, since a whole lot of us Malaysians don't even know shit about the essence of democracy and support Political Parties just like how we support their favourite EPL football teams, might as well turn this into an authoritarian state. So abolish democracy I say, if we can't become first World by 2020 let's be First World (from the bottom up) by then!

Thursday, May 17, 2007

Yeah... so they apologise... so?

So those two motherless monkeys finally apologise. So? Its not they are even strip of their MP rights or anything. Heck, given Malaysians poor memory I say this issue will be swept under the rug and people will forget all about it in another 2 weeks max.

Heck, given our fucked up memories I don't even think they will get voted out if they were to contest their seats in the coming GE. Maybe Malaysians do deserve motherless monkeys to represent us after all.

Najib to be fine then?

Hmmm... it is said here that employers will face up to RM10k fine if they fail to investigate complaints on sexual harassment. So does that mean that Najib, as the BN Whip need to be fine since he fail to even "try" to investigate complaints against his MPs regarding the "bocor" comments?

IMHO, such comments are consider as a form of sexual harassment whether it is consider as a joke or otherwise. So Datuk Fong, you dare to fine your boss?

Saturday, May 12, 2007

Wow, nice solution folks~

You just gotta love the way we do things you know. We have here a woman who faces deportation along with her child just because she was illegally adopted when she was young.

So now tell me, you have a woman here who was illegally adopted from another country and now she's going to pay for a mistake she had never make? You are telling me this woman here is guilty for getting adopted? So what is the immigration officials trying to prove? That we are a bunch of sadistic freaks that love to see a woman and child getting deported to a place they don't even know? If its about sending a message to tell people not to illegally adopt children, then punish the people who adopted her instead.

Ok ok, I know my birthday was like... 5 days ago. I admit, I was lazy got too preoccupied for my second life... in Azeroth (and the Outlands too). But heck, who cares, better late then never. Don't think we will have this sort of chance again in the future. Thanks again guys...... especially to my one and only love, my girlfriend. ^_^

Bad times for Malaysian females?

Its sad to see how our Malaysian society seems to crumble in front of our eyes every passing day. Just try to open the newspapers and the chances of coming upon a sex related crime is very high. In The Star alone there seems to be a total of 6 cases in four days alone. These cases are just reported ones... I just can't bring myself to think about the actual unreported figures. Are the police too busy tending to shutting down opposition ceramah's that they had forgotten their duty? Is Pak Lah as the Minister of Internal Security taking notice?

Here's a compiled list of sex-related crimes during the past week. Feel free to add if I miss out anything.

  • Admin assistant charged with seven sexual offences

  • Nearly raped at her college

  • Teen alleges first date rape

  • 15-year-old raped by odd-job worker

  • Cops to question veteran singer

  • Counsellor molested me, alleges student

  • Thank you Ijok!

Thank you Ijok for sending the correct message to the BN! Thank you for telling them how much we love them. How we are all S&M freaks who love to be intimidated by violence. How we are willing to exchange our votes with our own money (hey, its taxpayers' money afterall).

Thank you for showing the BN how much we trust them. Thank you for telling them that we believe only the BN can bring development to this country. Thank you for telling them that Malaysians love Mat Rempits.

Thank you Ijokians. You guys totally made the right choice yesterday.

Who wants to be a good MP?

Tired of being a puppet of our party? Tired of getting totally no developments for your constituency because your boss don't take you seriously? Well don't despair! If you are a people's MP and want what is good for your people yours truly had the perfect solution for you

    Try killing yourself today!!!!! **

We see it in Machap and we see it again in Ijok, a dead MP is a good MP. So if you really want to bring development to your constituency with zero red tape ending your life is the perfect way to go.

So what are you waiting for YBs? Try it now and don't hesistate!

**Only applicable to MPs from a ruling party with more than 90% majority.

Open Letter to Record Frenzy Blog Owner(s)

    Dear Records Frenzy Blog Owners,

First and foremost I would like to say that I can't stop agreeing with you guys on these record-breaking "frenzy" that's been plaguing some MMU students' organization. But the real motive behind my open letter is to give a friendly advice to you which is NEVER EVER REVEAL YOUR IDENTITIES PLEASE. Unless of course, you guys want to experience a few months of hell that I had personally experience if not, then its wise to keep your identities as secretive as Peter Parker kept his.

I also suggest that you guys lay low for a while as one wrong move might reveal all your identities. With that I am going to wish you guys good luck and don't get caught. You guys are doing a the right thing by bringing awareness to both the students and staff despite your ways of implementation is a bit extreme.

    Yours sincerely,
    Justin

    Wrestlemania 23 Thoughts and Reviews

Yeah I know, Wrestlemania 23 was shown like almost 2 weeks ago but hey, blame it on my low bandwidth.

    WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

Opening Match - Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Mr. Kennedy v Randy Orton v Matt Hardy v Jeff Hardy v Finlay v Edge v CM Punk v King Booker

A solid match with Mr. Kennedy coming on top which is much to my delight because I kinda love Mr. Kennedy's gimmick. A bit like The Rock's but with a few personalized touch here and there. The match is none other then a spot fest with some major bumps here and there. The highlight of the match is when Jeff Hardy puts Edge through the ladder. The bump itself is very unnecessary IMHO because it serves nothing but to shorten Jeff's career (or whatever that is still left in him).

Match Rating: 8 out of 10 stars

2md Match - The Great Khali v Kane

This match is nothing but a bore fest. I would rather see two polar bears fighting each other than to watch this match. Good thing is, this match is short. Note to the bookers of WWE: Next time if you want to book a "battle of the giants" match, put them in a sumo match.

Match Rating: 0.5 out of 10 (the 0.5 is because the kept the match short)

3rd Match - US Championship: Chris Benoit v MVP

I am kinda surprise at how technical MVP can go. It is as though Chris Benoit had given him a wrestling class before their match up. Kinda solid but short. It would deserve more stars if it were any longer. Match ends with Benoit nailing MVP with the diving headbutt.

Match Rating: 7.5 out of 10 (could be better if they would just give this two more time by canceling of the previous match)

4th Match - World Heavyweight Championship: Batista v Undertaker

This is ridiculous, the entrance is nearly the length of the match itself. The match according to wrestling sites is clocked at 15 minutes and 47 seconds. Given the amount of time the Undertaker takes to crawl into the ring I say it is about 6 to 8 minutes. Given that this match is consider one half of the main-event, it should be around 20 to 30 minutes at least. There's so little to build up in this match given just 16 minutes. At least these two men had did quite a job to make full use of the 16 minutes allocated to them. Lots of false finishes but in the end the Undertaker nailed a victory with a tombstone piledriver on Batista. Seriously, does the Undertaker need another victory in Wrestlemania? He had already won all 14 of his previous Wrestlemanias already. Wouldn't it be nice if the bookers would just push Batista even higher by ending the Deadman's 14-0 streak? Or does Vince McMahon wants to rewards his most loyal employee by giving him an undefeated winning streak in Wrestlemania until the day he retires? Hmmm...

Match Rating: 7 out of 10 (this is a main even dammit, why is it only 16 minutes long?)

5th Match: ECW Originals v ECW New Breed

This match is uber short. Maybe the only reason why they decide to place this one on the cards is to finally give the ECW Originals (Sandman, Dreamer, Sabu and RVD) excluding RVD, a chance to shine in the grandest stage in professional wrestling. Match is over very quickly with Sandman and Dreamer doing mostly nothing. Sabu had some screentime but heck, it does no justice to this great risk taker. The Originals win after RVD hit a frogsplash on Matt Striker.

Match Rating: Too short to even rate.

Battle of the Billionaires: Umaga on the side of Vince McMahon v Bobby Lashley on the side of Donald Trump (If Umaga lost McMahon gets his hair shaved and vice versa)

An entertaining match with zero wrestling involve maybe a part of it is due to people wanting to see either billionaire getting their head shave off. Most of the entertaining parts come from none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin who serves as the special guest referee of that match. After getting bashed by Umaga a couple of times, a pissed rattlesnake hit a Stone Cold stunner on the Samoan before getting speared by Lashley and thereby winning the match. The "head shaving ceremony" is funny largely due to McMahon's over selling. Still I really wish Donald Trump loses and got his head shaved instead. I mean c'mon, that ugly combover of his simply got to go.

WWE Championship: John Cena v Shawn Michaels

A very lengthy entrance with Michaels coming out with the DX theme. I was hoping he would come out to his original Heartbreak Kid theme because seeing him dance to the DX theme looks kinda.... stupid. Cena's entrance is even worse, with a nicely editted video of him "drifting" on the streets of Detroit before crashing into the arena. Well this confirms my theory that if Cena is a wrestler here, his gimmick would be none other than a Mat Rempit's. The match is not bad. It is build up nicely which is carried by Michaels. Lots of in-ring psychology is involved and it ended nicely with a great counter-frenzy finish. With Cena and Michaels both countering each other's finishers and just before you think Michaels finally escaped the FU, he got locked on the STFU in the middle of the ring and which he is force to tap. I seriously wished that Michaels would had won this match instead. That would be like a fairy tale ending for Wrestlemania. I mean can't the let a guy who had not held any gold for 9 years hold it one last time before losing the title on Backlash? Cena had accomplished nearly everything in his career and by letting him win proves nothing in his already shiny resume.

Match Rating: 8 out of 10

Overall this Wrestlemania is ok. Not the best definitely but still, it is quite entertaining.

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10

    Bloggers Registration Act (BRA)??

Ah... much had happened lately when I was away busy with my life. First we had some deputy "ass licking" minister who is trying to please his master by saying that Bloggers should register. Then Mr. Bloggersbane echoed the same shit.

Seriously, these people must had read to much comics lately. Are they such big fans of Marvel's latest crossover event Civil War that tells the tale of a certain Superheroes' Registration Act where all superheroes are forces to register and reveal their identities? Or maybe they are a big fan of Alan Moore's classic Watchmen that they want to reenact the Keene Act (which bans unregistered "costumed adventurers") onto the bloggers?

I mean I had had it with all this labeling of us being liars and rumormongers. How these people want to decide for us what we think, what we read and how we dress or even how much money we make. Look if Malaysia is a fascist state or even a communist state I would understand. BUT WE ARE A FREAKIN' DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! Democracy means freedom. Democracy means WE the PEOPLE decides what is BEST for the country. Democracy means that WE the PEOPLE decides who WE CHOOSE to represent them. Democracy means WE can think for ourselves.

So maybe the 90+% majority the PEOPLE had given to the BN had inflated their egos so big that they forgotten is their real boss that voted them or who decides for them. So Mr. Blogsbane and Mr. Shaziman (which his name coincidentally sounded like a superhero wannabe) please be reminded that it is us to decide for you and not the other way round.

By the way, can I sue all these people for "defaming" me on the mainstream press? So check out this funny piece about this issue by Fazri which pays a little tribute to the movie 300.

    I am registered. Are you?

I registered last year just 3 days after my 21st birthday last year. What's with all the hurry you say? Simple, I just want to be a registered voter so I can exercise my right as a rakyat. I want my vote to count. I want my vote to make a difference.

So what is one vote going to make a difference? Of course just my one vote may not make a difference but what if everyone thinks of it that way? What if the 70% of the age group of 21 to 35 which HAD NOT registered had that thinking? Can you imagine how many votes that is wasted here (around 4.9 million votes)? There are currently 10.3 million registered voters in Malaysia and 4.9 million unregistered voters almost make up half of that amount. So can you imagine how much difference that would make if a snap elections is called anytime soon?

Do you think that unregistered voters have the right to even criticise or discuss any unfair policies which are passed by the government in the future when they themselves do not even want to get their lazy asses to register? Do you think they had the right to even raise a single word of protest if next time there's another toll or petrol hike? IMHO, these people should shut up. Because they deserve what is coming to them. They deserve the corruption that is running rampant in this country, they deserve the high crime rates and most of all they will deserve the government that they dislike that will get voted in the future.

So what are you all unregistered voters waiting for? Just get your ass to the nearest post office to register. To MMU students who had hit 21 and yet to register there's no fucking excuse. The post office is just right inside the campus itself. So just go and register your ass next time you pay your bills. To bloggers who are not registered as a voter yet, ask yourself this: do you want to be constantly defamed by Ministers, MPs and even the PM himself? If your answer is no then go ahead and register so we can kick their asses by not voting for their party.

    Disappointed

I am standing outside the circle frowning. Months ago I was part of it. Months ago I thought this circle is a strong one. Now, I am outside it looking inside clinging on to someone inside it refusing to let go.

Should I let go? I had asked myself countless of times lately. Should I just let go and fall into oblivion since I am not needed anymore? That I am there not because they want me to? But because I am a convenience?

My hands are weak now... after what I had witness and experienced today I am letting my hands loose slowly. Isn't there anyone inside that cares about me anymore? I needed help and no one volunteered. Did they even notice that I am drifting away? Or they are secretly hope that I am gone? Maybe they should just tell me... so that I can just let go and fall into the abyss of loneliness below before another circle picked me up again....Maybe I should be Rorschach and wander the streets alone..

    Why am I not surprise?

Why am I not surprise when I read this report (but it is still worrying though)? Nearly half of the surveyed teenagers do not even have friends outside of their race. Even worse, even less of the students thought of it as an issue.

Of course I don't blame these young ignorant minds. Its the way they are brought up that is to be blame. I mean come on, they are being taught to grow up to hate each other by their parents. Even our leaders are setting a bad example here. First we had some keris-waving-minister shouting some racists remarks and even threaten to kill too. Then we have some blame-Singapore-Menteri-Besar objecting to "bangsa" Malaysia and even something that resembles the theory of a certain now defunct party about an uber race.

So the question now is, are parents concern about educating the children about the importance of racial tolerance? Are our country leaders ready to stop playing racial politics and start promoting national unity? Are we all, the adult population , ready to open up our minds and learn to accept people of different skin colour and religion?

What is equally worrying is the fact that there seems to be a lack of interest in general knowledge among teenagers. Again I don't think these kids are to blame for any of it. Just look at our educational system. We are encouraging nothing more then asking these poor kids to swallow as many subjects as possible so that they can vomit everything out during their examinations. Our educational system is so A's crazy that parents are simply encouraging their children to study more and care less about anything else. The media ain't helping either. They are always glorify these A's whores such as this muthafuckers here and this lifeless bitch here as if they are some kind of role models for the younger ones. Even the teachers are now more interested in teaching their students on how to score in the their subjects then what the students should really learn from the subject. With so many straight A's students our education system is producing, are kids these days getting any smarter or are they just a bunch of fucking mindless A-chasing zombies?

It is about time we wake up and face the painful truth we are facing today. Racial integration is failing, students does not give shit when it comes to things that is apart from their studies and we are playing a major part of turning our teenagers in it.

    Another one bites the dust~

I just can't stop singing along with Queen after reading about another "Ambulance caused death" and this time it's because all of the ambulance is out of fuel.

This is definitely a "WTF"-worthy scenario here. How in Chua's name can an ambulance run out of petrol let alone "all the ambulances were out of petrol"? What? Those ambulance petrol costs are not covered in the budget? I thought as part as the emergency response team that is responsible and dedicated to SAVE PEOPLE'S LIFE, each and every ambulance should be in top condition and ready to go round the clock?

Is Chua Soi Lek so obsessed with fastfood chains in Malaysia that he had forgotten his top priority? Or maybe he is busy surfing the internet for some gruesome photos about the side effects of smoking for his planned campaign? With such outrageous deaths caused by ambulances of late why not just commission those guys at the nearest funeral parlour to bring in the "patients" instead?

And you think the infamous late respond time for the average Malaysian ambulance is bad sheesh...

So does this mean you guys admit that you had screw up big time?

    Hmmm.. According to The Star

A higher class of trainers and better health facilities at the training camps. These are the immediate measures being taken to improve the national service (NS) programme.

Erm... Isn't that what is suppose to be done like way back when NS is in its planning phase? So does that mean that the government had admit that the NS is a half-ass plan all along? Or they are trying to use the software prototyping technique that the government first comes out with an incomplete plan and the (forced) testers which are the trainees, are there to test it?

So why not suspend the NS completely until the government had time to replan, upgrade and maybe if they are smart enough, find out what went wrong?

How long before the big boys come knocking?

If you miss out on The Star's Wong Chun Wai's piece last Sunday here it is and yes I am becoming to like this guy. He had been quite a "mainstream spokesperson" for bloggers these days. But the big problem is this. How long more can Wong Chun Wai speak honestly in his column about blogs before the big boys from Putrajaya comes knocking on his door and ask him to shut up?

I mean if they can do this they can do anything.

    Disgusted

What's with this shit? The tourism Minister said something stupid and he still escape this whole ordeal unscathed. Then he push the blame to Nila Tanzil and the reporters at Sin Chew and poor Nila got suspended from her job (source: Susan Loone).

Fuck honesty. Telling the truth will get you nothing but shit. I know this all too well. Fuck, this scenario closely resembles mine that this pisses me so bad. Is this because, in the words of Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men, simply "can't handle the truth"? Is the truth so ugly for them that they prefer to listen to nothing but lies? Or is the truth is so unbearable that the truth-bearer are considered as liars?

Don't worry Nila I am with you all the way. Don't let some stupid Tourism Minister of ours get to you and keep you from telling the truth.

As for Ku Nan, don't think that we bloggers will simple forget what you had said and done. No amount of excuse can make us forgive you. Unless of course you openly apologise to all bloggers and also to Nila but then again that will be the day when hell freezes over.

It seems that not all from the mainstream media are our enemies after all.

Came upon this editorial by Wong Chun Wai titled "Pointless acts" while browsing through The Star's webby. I usually only read news from The Star's website that explains why I bumped into this 11th March editorial just today -.-"

It's an excellent piece by the way. It speaks on how pointless it is to censor stuffs when most of the time we can just obtained these censored stuffs online. It's definitely nice to read an editorial by someone "techno-phobics" for a change.

I guess there is still hope for us in the mainstream papers after all. Well, at least more people heard Wong Chun Wai's voice then that Rehman what-his-name after all The Star have more readers than the GOP (Grand Old Paper). Check out another Wong Chun Wai's other piece titled "Bloggers have a duty too".

Well I guess there's nothing to worry about after all most of techno-phobic propaganda crap against blogs are only heard by a handful of people. Unless of course the mainstream press are being called up to yet another "close door" discussion like the previous "feel good" and toll hike
"meeting" then we are in deep shit.

    Misquoted?

He said he never said anything about bloggers being liars especially about women bloggers. He even go as far as saying "I am here because of women". After nearly a week of silence he finally talked about it. Read full story here. So tell me, what is with all these misquotings these days?

Are reporters these days have problem with their hearing? Or the PA system's quality is so bad that the reporters can't get the full picture? Or government officials these days talk in a language so sophisticated that even reporters don't even know what he is talking about?

How I wish life is just like a "Pinocchio" story so that we are able to detect who have the longest nose. But then again even if life is like a "Pinocchio" story, I doubt The Scale will lose in the elections as Malaysians tend to be very forgiving.... sigh~

    Shall We "Feel Good" Now?

Our global trade had hit the magic trillion... so says our government. Then Reuters said its none other but a Putrajaya spin. So the government go all out to prove that this is no spin and they pump in money to the KLSE to make it hit the 1200 mark before the Chinese New Year. Some people are starting to feel good.

People are starting to believe in the KLSE for the first time since 9/11 and started to pump in money as well. Then our PM go all out to announce that the KLSE will hit the 1300 mark soon. The people buy it. Analyst said that the bull is real. Then shit happens. Right after the Chinese New Year the stock market like the rest of the World experience a sharp drop. The government tried to convince the people to have confidence in the KLSE. The PM had tried to reassure the people more than once. Frequently appeared in the headlines telling them our economy is still healthy. Even our Information Minister tried to "hint" the mainstream media not to "over-report" the market's crash.

Just today shit happens again. The stock market went south for another 2.8% (along with the rest of the world). True some analyst will blame it on the world economy from China to the US. True, I mean come on who are we kidding? Our stock market heavily rely on the world "superpowers". When shit happens to them shit happens to us. But here's my take on this whole situation. Do we measure our country's economy solely on the numbers of our stock exchange? Do we make people feel good by telling them our KLSE is doing well? What is there to feel good about when there some who still struggling to survive with only RM1 a day? Or some who are still hardly support their family due to the impact of the recent toll rise and last year's petrol hike?

So what gives the government to tell its people that they should feel good now? Should we feel good just for the sake of feeling good? Or should we feel good because we really felt the "goodness"?

    Here we go again...

Seems like the government had a new ally against us bloggers. This time in the form of Rehman Rashid. Wonder what he said?

In my opinion, what they’ve really done is prove why freedom of expression was a really bad idea. In this country, a host of folk who never had a hope of getting published are now proving why not.

The local blogosphere is the domain of life-challenged grumblestiltskins and disenfranchised pundits whose asinine maunderings only show why they should never have had day jobs in the first place.

For the full article click here. Read this when I was browsing through Rocky's Bru's blog.

His article is nothing short of displaying that he is a dinosaur who should be living in the previous century. A dinosaur who is afraid of technology, afraid of the greatest gift that man had ever invented... the Internet, afraid of the limitless information that everyone can access at any given time and most importantly afraid of the truth OR MAYBE... his paymasters paid him well enough for him to sell his soul out to write this bullshit.

Looking at this man's fear of technology and progress, why not he just abandon everything else and go live in a cave then? That way you do not have to be so frustrated in dealing with technology.. or even better US.. the "liars-cum-rumour-mongers". Or maybe you should be better off in the stone age. Heck, judging from your article, you might even take a sledgehammer and smash the wheel when they invented it!

What? You can't handle 3 months and now you want to do 2 years?

Great... just when you think the 19 (or is that more?) deaths is enough for the government to wake up and considering to either revamp the NS program or canceling it all together, in comes our DPM saying that "3 months is not enough".

Heck, we can't even handle 3 months worth of training and now you want to extend it to 2 years? Look at all the problems plaguing the NS programs. Bad facilities, unexplainable trainee's death and bad handling of transportation are just one of the few major problems. Don't even get me started on the quality control of the NS trainers .

And there you are asking “Are parents willing to make a sacrifice (and delay their children’s graduations)? I suspect it will not be easy to persuade parents". Unless the NS program improve, I don't think it's their children's time that parents' are unwilling to sacrifice but their children's lifes instead!

    SPM Results Freakshow

The annual circus freakshow called the SPM Results Day is back! This year's main event is none other then the rumoured 19A student which got 18A's instead. Like every crazy motherfucking freaks of yesteryears who thinks that they deserve every fucking A there is in SPM this motherfucking freak said she is disappointed despite scoring 18A's which is 9 more then an average student.

So tell me what is this sick motherfucking freak trying to prove? That she is smart? Or she is stupid enough to take so many subjects which nearly half of them are irrelevant? Or that she had a great tummy where she can swallow all those information in before the exams and vomit all of them out during SPM? Or that she, like most of the freaks in Guinness Prime Time tried to break some record that makes no sense?

So why the fuck so many subjects? Does she think that she will automatically get a PHD for that? Or does she thinks that she is the best student Malaysia ever produced? Or she have no life other than studying?

What make me so fucking pissed is that these fuckers (this motherfucker and this one one as well) think so highly of themselves despite scoring so many motherfucking A's they still have the face to tell the whole world that they are disappointed. Are they trying to make others feel stupid about themselves? Well fuck you. Things sure change fast. I mean its only been 5 years since my SPM and instead of improving its standards its becoming more and more like some freakshow.

66 (and still counting) vs 1

Here's the list of the 66 angry bloggers who wants a piece of the Tourism Minister... (wow that will be 66 pieces in total) compiled by Susan Loone.

Moral of the story? You fuck one of us you fuck with all of us. You fuck all of us.... you are in for one hell of a gangbang!

    My Own Bridge to Terabithia....

Alright before we begin I just wanna say that this post is not a full review of the show "Bridge to Terabhitia" (which is based on a novel by Katherine Paterson of the same name). Its more about how the movie reflects my life and my thoughts after watching this movie. For those who haven't watch this movie, go watch it... NOW. It's a good movie and I strongly recommend moviegoers to watch it. My rating for this movie? An 8/10. Enough of this crappy mini-review and into the topic.

A thousand thoughts had entered my mind while watching this movie. One of the thoughts that crept into my mind is how this movie reflects me as a child. You see this movie is about how 2 kids (Jesse and Leslie) which are considered as outcasts and loners in school became close friends with each other and together they created an imaginary kingdom. You see, unlike the outgoing and happy-go-lucky "me" you see now, my childhood can be summarised in two simple words... fucked up.

Like the main character, Jesse, I am always a target for bullies in school not because of my size (I am bigger than most of them back then) but because my mum had a name that seem funny to them. You see the kids in my school had some fucked up hobby to kill time, they love to make fun of other kids whose parents had a name that can be easily made fun off and to them mine had the funniest. Everyday I would go to school just to listen to their verbal abuse.

I don't mind people making fun of me but I am very sensitive when it comes to my family. To make matters worse my class teacher is bias against me because most of them are either rich spoilt brats or top students who had nothing better to do. So each time I had enough of their taunts and threw a punch or two at them I would be sent to the principal's office.

No matter how overboard they go, it will always be my fault. I had even been called a lunatic by that bitch of a teacher because I often got into fights with her "pets". So yeah, back then school was my hell. Imagine to suffer tremendous verbal abuse from your classmates not because you deserve it, its because they think that my mum had funny sounding name. Only regret I had back then is that I took the "tough guy" approach and never tell anything my parents that I am being bullied and the reason why I fought is because I had enough, but instead let my teacher to tell them about "their" side of the tale instead which make them very disappointed. So how does the movie reflect my life you say? Patience, I am just about to reach that part.

So I am some sort of both a loner and outcast in my class. Having some bias bitch teacher who insult my state of mind and telling her colleagues how evil I am and having "friends" who make fun of your mum's name and not having one true friend I hated school. I hated everything back then. The only time that I truly love is when I got back from school and started to imagine things. Sometimes I would imagine that I am some superhero or even a pirate. Sometimes I would imagine that I am the king of my room with my pillows and my plushy camel as my loyal subjects and we would go to war against the other three countries (rooms) in my house.

My only escapade from my fucked up childhood back then is my own imagination. So while watching Bridge of Terabithia I can't stop smiling and say "been there done that" to myself. Unfortunately for me, unlike the film, I don't have a great friend with me to share my imagination.

So yeah, there you have it the story of my childhood a part of me where I had never ever mentioned to anyone until now. A part of me that I wished to forget but never failed to haunt me til' this day. Well, all I can say is thank God for CowHead a.k.a Tauren a.k.a Liang Peng for convincing me to watch that movie because finally there's something for me to relate my childhood to and make me feel like I had a better childhood then most of the fucktards I shared the same classroom with during primary school.

TO MY MUM: In case you are reading this mum, this is my side of the tale that I had always kept mummed about last time. I am sorry that you had to pick me up at the principal's office so frequently last time and I am sorry that I had hurt you because of the several complaints about me by other teachers last time and how frequent I got into fights last time and never tell you anything about being bullied back then. Thank you for being so patient with me and guiding me to be the person I am today.... and you too dad (which I don't think will read my blog :P). Love you guys.

w00t~ I am been called a liar in the papers!!

Wow for the first time in my life I had been mentioned by a Minister along with another 9999 more with 8000 presumably female)! Wow I am certainly honoured! To make matters even more interesting he called me a liar. Wow... been called a liar by a politician.. how do I feel? Of course I feel honoured by that remark. I mean that means me and the other 9999 bloggers of Malaysia are in the same fucking league with the Menteri's and Yang Berhormat's and pretty soon people might start paying me RM5 million ringgit to help me settle things for them. I will be a multi-billionaire by 30! Then I can build a palace all for myself. I might even try to open a satay restaurant while I am at it.

So my dear fellow bloggers... No point getting fumed up by that little comment . Look on the bright side... I mean in Malaysia liars all end up fucking rich and we should treat it as a compliment instead.

And Tengku Adnan... in the words of Samy Vellu... oh wait, you better ask him what he said during the next cabinet meeting.

    Pak Lah's Sandiwara Manual

I don't know about you guys but I think all this Mat Skodeng shit is one of those sandiwara act to boost Mr. Lah's/Grandpa Seri Lah's image as a open-minded, bold, wise and THE BEST THING Malaysia is so blessed to have. Don't you think this scenario is all too familiar?

Grandpa Seri Lah's Sandiwara Operation Manual:
    1. Have some idiot under you say something really stupid and idiotic in the mainstream media.

    2. Make sure what the lacky said in step 1 is a must-hate statement that even by glancing the headlines will make any legally and practically sane rakyat jump of disgust.

    3. After generating tons of heat and criticsm from all four corners wait a minimum of two days (so that the PM can get enough info from every single freakin' media available in Malaysia*).

    4. In come PM to save the day with some comments which echoed every single feedback columnists and blogs gave.

    5. Make sure what he said is published in the headlines. Make sure all editors praise PM.

    6. Rinse and repeat

*Blogs are optional since they are a bunch of whiny liars and I don't lie.

Wake me up when we get pass Renaissance Age

Ah... we are finally entering the phase where the rest of Europe and most parts of the World had experience during 400AD to 1000AD. I mean its not too late right? Considering we are lagging behind by..... a millenia? I mean surely its a good thing right? That means we are going to have good times ahead of us after 600 years right?

I mean surely treating foreign labours as slave is a good thing right? Keeping them in a confine area and denying them of the basic rights and even their sanity? That way after 600 years people will look back and be thankful for their freedom right?

Surely asking women to wear chastity belts are a good thing... maybe in the next 600 years women will finally have equality in this country right? Its not long right? 600 years is pretty fast.... I hope.

You know back in the Dark Ages where people questioning the king or the church are brand as heretics and are either burn on a stake or had his head slice off. I mean its a good thing right? At least after 600 years they finally had their brains grown on their head and started to decentralize power from an individual or organisation to the people. I mean surely the two heroes of our community being sued and the rest of us being called liars and even being branded as some sort of a heretic are a good thing right? I mean after 600 years freedom of speech and a balance democracy will finally have a place in this land... No?

The religious fanatics commisioning peeping toms to peep at people having sex as a form of "investigation"... Oh wait... even in the dark ages those religious fanatics are not so... so... fucked up... (sorry can't find a proper word for it >_<). So let's skip this.. Next! Do you still remember chapter 3 of our Form 4 Sejarah where we were told that both the political leaders and the religious leaders are sucking the country's coffers empty to fill their pockets? Do you still remember how the country's land and resources are divided up among the king's family members or some noble dog of the King... or some knight with a large army? How the father-in-law gave a large chunk of wealth to his son-in-law and his sons? Oh wait... I don't think the last part is inside the textbook or the syllabus. Damn my poor memory... its been a long time since I studied history and I kinda mix up the events in chronological order.... etc... etc.... You get my point ;) So yeah, all these events happening around us aren't so bad... I mean everything will be aye-ok if we are patient enough to wait for another 600 years... that is if you are alive til' then. Well for what I know, having a patience that can stretch to 600 years is something I don't have and will never have. Let's change all this shit now when we still have the power to.

    Foreign Workers = Unsung Heroes

Saw a posting from The Malaysian which shocked me. Go read it if you haven't here. Is there anyone in Malaysia that even care about the foreign workers? They are the unsung heroes of the Malaysian economy. They fill up the jobs where no Malaysian wants. Without them do you think the construction industry can survive? Our economy is very dependant on them.

Its stupid how we like to push all of the blame to the foreign workers when it comes to crime. Are we so short-sighted that we can't even notice that most of the major cases involving murder and rape are actually done by Malaysians? Are the authorities taking the easy way out by pushing all the blame to the foreign workers? Do they think that crimerates plunge all of a sudden after the implementations?

By putting foreign workers into a prison-like working environment, won't it cause even more social problems? When you restrict ones freedom you are taking away their precious sanity and that will be even worse when a legion of them break-free from their confinement. More chaos will ensue.

Is there any police in Malaysia left that actually respect basic human rights? Beating up peaceful protestors is one thing.. confining innocent people is the lowest one can get its like we are turning more and more into Nazis!

I wouldn't be surprise if one day all Malaysians are confined into their taman's when the problem is still not solved.

Better ways to prevent rape then a chastity belt....

Just when you think religious leaders in Malaysia are not getting any dumber than they currently are, they go say something about women wearing chastity belt to prevent rape and incest. I have an even better idea... I mean to solve a problem we need to get to the root right? Like the Chinese saying "to kill the weeds you need clear the roots" (or something like that).

I had found the perfect solution to solve the root problem... let us castrate all male once they hit puberty. That way we can stop rape from happening before we can even know how to masturbate. Great idea huh? Well if you excuse me, I am going to pack my bags.....

    Hurrah for the Police!

The Malaysian Police Force is a very interesting species. Each time when there's a report on the skyrocketing crimerates in the country, the police chief will always comment that they are "too understaff" to be effective and yet each time during festive seasons you can spot them camping at nearly every single major traffic lights in the whole country waiting for the "next big fish" to come swimming into their trap. Its like suddenly there seems to be a surge in the police efficiency. Can someone tell me why are blue uniformed policeman camping near traffic lights instead of patrolling residential areas where it is prone to break-ins?

Don't you just love festive seasons in Malaysia? Its a time where the rakyat have to worry of getting rob by both cops and crooks.

    Happy Chinese New Year!!

Well, hope everyone had lotsa things to eat so that by the time trimester ends... they will be my size and I won't get that "OMG JUSTIN LOOK HOW MUCH YOU HAD 'GROWN'" look each time people sees me.. j/k. Hope everyone had a great year ahead especially my bros who are now in their last sem. Hope you guys can go through this last freakin' obstacle.... or else I will have friends graduating with me next year ^_^

    Don't Download This Song

If you think that every recording artists are pricks that supported the RIAA's (Record Industry Association of America) approach in dealing with downloaders (READ: SUING 12 YEAR OLDS FOR DOWNLOADING MUSIC OFF THE NET') and wanting to squeeze every single dime (or sen) out of us consumers you are wrong.

In comes "Weird Al" Yankovic, yeap the man who brought you all those uber funny parodies of songs such as You're Pitiful (a parody of You're Beautiful), Fat (Michael Jackson's Bad) and Amish Paradise (Gangsta's Paradise) with his latest song "Don't Download This Song". In this song he satirizes the actions of the RI-double-A and making fun of Metallica (remember the has-beens who went on a p2p witch hunt just because nobody is buying their music anymore during the 90s which brought the death of Napsters? Yeah its those guys).

"To add insult to injury" to quote Faz , Weird Al let's you to download his song for free from his album's website. Now what are you waiting for? Go download it here (don't worry it's legal). Now that's what I call a recording artist with class.

    Party of Idiots?

I just can't stop laughing after reading this article about UMNO. According to the The Star:

"Some Umno members here think that by renewing their membership, they automatically become registered voters."

How stupid ignorant can these people get? And people still wonder why our country is in such a deep shit we are currently in?

I Demand To Get What I Pay For!

    Imagine this scenario:

You bought a condo with promises of tons of facilities from swimming pools to saunas to gyms and tennis courts... etc.. etc.. and after you moved in you wanted to use these facilities to make full use of what you pay. You found out that everywhere you go are crowded, the condo management did not provide enough space to accommodate these much people. After a month you saw a notice in the notice board stating:

"Due to the overcrowding of facilities, the management decided to limit the usage of the facilities per unit. Each unit can only use the facilities 2 times a month. To use it more than 2 times, you will have to pay an additional fee depending on how many times you use per month."

So how would you feel? Cheated? Who's fault is it? Is it the management because they did not provide the proper amount of space needed to accommodate their customers? Or is it the customers' fault for "overusing" their facilities? As a customer, isn't it logical that we get what we pay for or else what is the use of paying right?

Same goes to us broadband users. We pay a monthly fee hoping to get what we pay for, fast connection speed so that we can stream videos, play MMORPGs, blog and download shows off the net. Instead we are told that we cannot use this much bandwidth so that it is "fair" to other users when the real issue here is that they are oversubscribed. They had too many users and so little bandwidth. So whose fault is it?

The truth is, our ISPs are all greedy bastards who want to get more customers but refuses to upgrade their bandwidth. Instead of admitting that they suck, they just have to take the easy way out by pushing the blame to us heavy users.

Ah.. Now it's the babies' fault?

I love being in my country because whatever we do its always not our fault. When the flood happened last month its not our fault because we do not have proper drainage system. It is not our fault when the flood response is chaotic at best. Nope that's not our fault it's Singapore's. When there's social issues like rape, robbery and murder happening in Malaysia it's not our fault. Yeah, it's the foreign workers (when most of the major crimes are committed by Malaysians)! When "local models" are not shown in ads and billboards its not their fault because they do not have the broad appeal, it's the Pan-Asian models.

To add in to the list of our truly Malaysian (something Zam should be proud off since it is not Pan-Asian), it's now the babies' fault. Yes, when a man married a foreign wife and later found out their marriage is not legal... their babies might get deported back to his/her mother's land of origin. So it's now the babies fault that their parents are not legally married? So is it the babies' fault that his/her dad deposited his sperm in his/her mother's "cockpit"? What are the deported babies going to do once they are back home? Find a job?

Yet whenever we declared something outrageous and stupid like that, we say out proudly as if that is the definite solution to the whole equation. God, I love Malaysia. We might be the only country in the World to be proud of our own stupidity.

Ahh... Why not ban foreign films as well?

As if blaming Singapore for the floods is not enough, our government had to go for double kill today by saying that they want to start banning ads that feature models with "Pan-Asian" looks. How about models with mixed parentage? Will they be ban from TV too? Or a pure Malaysian who happens to look "Pan-Asian"? Here's my favourite part:

“RTM has long imposed the ban on foreign culture in ads on local television to allow some leeway for our local advertising agencies.”

Well why not ban ALL foreign cultures on TV and cinemas too? I mean if a 30 seconds ad can bring foreign culture into this country, what would a 2 hour movie do to us? Convert all into Americans?

Well I have a great suggestion for you Zam. Why not we emulate North Korea by banning all "foreign elements" from local TV stations, destroy the MEASAT, shutdown Astro, disconnect all of us from the internet and only allow local calls? That would be a great idea. I mean we don't want some American to "poison" our mind while we you are the Minister of Information don't you?

    Time Flies

Just today a junior of mine added me to her Friendster list and after browsing through her photos and looking at how some familiar faces had grown up suddenly makes me feel... nostalgic. It was feels just like yesterday (I know this is an overused cliched line but that's what I am feeling right now ok? >_<) that I was still in (Secondary School Year 5) Form 5 and the rest of my juniors are in Form 1. Now all of them had graduated from secondary school recently. When I was browsing through her photos I had that "been here done that" feeling and I find myself wishing I could relive my secondary school days again. Still remember how I spend nearly all of my secondary school days as a prefect, how we would always start a rebellion against the head prefect, the two crushes I had during my five years there, the rejections I faced from the, how our conversation revolves around sex and watching porn was like an adventure to all of us. I still remember one of my close friend invited me over to his house for pizzas and porn when his parents are not around, I still can't stop laughing each time I think of it. I still remember how I was a rising "star" of the PBSM but only to quit as a sign rebellion against the new President but only to come back after being invited personally by another President during secondary 4. How I use to have a passion for chess. I was never really good at it but still the passion for chess and the love of going to competitions had been a part of my life during my five years there. I still remember the last two years of my secondary school days where me and my friend were considered as "heart throbs", yeah go ahead and laugh all you want but it's true :P and how I constantly receive gifts from girls and how I had to asked my mum to help me to settle a girl who constantly called me about 3 times a day. Those were the days indeed. Too I didn't experience any of those during my University life... (oh I am soooo going to get my ears pulled if my girlfriend read this sentence >_<) Sigh I really miss those days, where all friends are pure and none of them are out there to backstab you. How we are all so innocent and naive and the world outside meant nothing to us. How we view things in life as either black or white and never shades of grey. Maybe this is why I seldom mentioned anything about my past.... I hate the feeling of nostalgia... the feeling of wanting to relive your past but reality had just had to say "NO!"

    A Simple Request

Please Singapore can you all do us all a favour by suing Malaysia for defamation? I never knew that the Johor government can insult our intelligence like that by trying to push the blame our neighbours down South for the recent floods as if blaming God is not enough. Ok, let's say that the theory of the Kota Tinggi flooding is some how correct, then how do we explain about the big Segamat flood? Blame it on Pahang or Melaka?

So please Singapore, sue us. Sue the Johor government and the mainstream papers that carry the posts and ask them for an apology. That way you might cure our government's "NOT ME"
syndrome. Well at least they will think twice before blaming someone else.

Excuse me Mr. PM (Part II)...

Dear Mr. Lah, I am sorry that I was harsh on you in my previous entry. Since you are still new.. like, you know, MORE THAN THREE YEARS in the office and since you are still a n00b in the office I am going to cut you some slack since you still have EVERYTHING a lot of things to do. I mean of course there's still lots of things to do, I mean, your son-in-law and your son still haven't reach multi-trillionaire status and you still haven't send your predecessor to the grave because you still haven't dismantle enough of his policies. So yeah, I am going to cut you some slack here today and instead of "lying" about how bad you are I am going to suggest a few things on how to boost your image online.

I mean c'mon, don't tell me you decide to condemn us all and the internet all together when you can embrace us and stop listening to our constant nagging about your sampans and private jets and your broken rice bowl family members right? I mean calling us liars and having your lackeys suing us for defamation will only cause a huge retaliation from us so why fight us when you can make us work for WITH you (still remember this quote?)

First up I suggest you stop wasting the people's money by sending space tourists to space or building sports centres on other people's soil and start spending those money on ICT infrastructure. Start a nationwide fibreoptics cabling project that ensure everyone in Malaysia can stay connected. Lease those lines to ISPs, so that there won't be only one fucked up dominating ISP who don't give a flying fuck about its subscribers and in the meantime people can get affordable high speed broadband (high speed as in 5 to 10Mbps not that 512kbps or 1Mbps shit that we are offered now). Think about it, this is a win-win situation here. First, you get to educate a whole nation with the internet and you will finally get all the love from bloggers throughout the nation that you sooo wanted all this while since you had gave what most bloggers in Malaysia wanted even more than sex... a decent internet connection.

As a plus, you will get more foreign IT base investments to boost the dead MSC. People might finally start looking this way for a start instead of that nearly invisible red dot down south.

So yeah, I do hope you can think about it and stop threatening us for a change.

P.S: And please tell all your lackeys that the Internet is not just for porn! It's a disgrace how so many government officials can only think of porn whenever the internet is mention.

    Tuesday, January 30, 2007

    Excuse me Mr. PM...

Dear Mr. Lah... or should I call you Uncle Lah. I know you had been going on interviews and giving speeches on how we, the bloggers, are liars and how we love to spread shit on the net. How we criticise you for every little thing you do like falling asleep and stuff like that. I know you hate us for smashing your Son-in-Law's rice bowl and how we dug up your little Turkish sampan... and oh yeah, found out that you bought LEASE a huge jumbojet recently for yourself i mean your ministers and we even call you some rude names.

I mean it is all our fault. You know, we should be good little children and stop being disobedient and stuff like that? I mean we shouldn't had question your authority... I mean you are like the father of this country for crying out loud and as your little children we must obey every little thing you say. Heck, like obedient little children we should keep quiet each time we dug up a stash of porn under our parents bed and pretend nothing had happened.

Oh wait, for the last time I checked, you are not God-given to me like my dad. You are E-LEC-TED you know like the "E" from the word Erectile Dysfunction? WE ARE YOUR BOSS. WE PAY YOUR SALARY AND FOR GOD SAKE WE ARE THE ONES PAYING FOR THE HIGHWAYS IN KL WHEN WE DON'T GET TO USE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE! When you buy that stupid jet of yours and your cronies... ITS OUR MONEY. So is it wrong for us, YOUR BOSS, to criticise you when you under perform? Is it wrong for us to question WHERE OUR MONEY IS GOING when the money you are spending is OURS?

So tell me what are you so pissed about in the first place? Had you, like some Malaysians, had forgotten the fact that this is a DEMOCRATIC country? If you are not happy how democracy is, go ahead and declare yourself the supreme ruler of Malaysia like what Senator Palpatine did in Star Wars. Only then we would totally surrender our fate and lives to you and you can do whatever you want without fearing any criticism from all of us.

    Come on, repeat after me...

Yeah, I want everyone to repeat after me:

    "Malaysia is a DE-MO-CRA-TIC COUN-TREEE."

Sorry if I treated you like a primary school kid there because the last time I checked there are people who thinks we are living in a Nazi state. Each time when someone said something bold and sensitive, there is ALWAYS, yes ALWAYS, someone who will say something like:

"Wah... you better becareful or the ISA will lock you up!"

No I don't mean to point out anyone specific but most of the time when someone debate something political or sensitive, someone is sure to say that. For the love of God, we are living in a democratic country here. It's because of the people's fear of speaking out that makes the government think they can do whatever they want and they still can get our approval! Had our education system dumb us down so greatly? Had the propagandas we are taught in both Moral and History class had instill great fear in our sub-consciousness that we dare not to speak for ourselves?

Look, if a bunch of people who didn't even know where Iraq is on the World map knows the true meaning of democracy, we should too.

Top 10 Favourite Movies of All Time

It's 2.30am and for some reason I can't seem to fall asleep. Since I got nothing better to do, I had compiled a list of my 10 favourite movies of all time. Movies like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars are considered as one movie since all of their movies tell one huge epic story. Movies with the same name but feature different stories such as the various Monty Python movies are separated as they told a different tale and have different universe.

    10. Death Note I and II
Simply put. Death Note Live Action Movie is awesome. Its one of the best books to movie adaptation I had ever seen since Lord of the Rings. The pacing is great, each twists and turns are done perfectly without the audiences going "WTF JUST HAPPENED?". The change to the story is awesome too. Instead of dragging the show into two freaking story arcs like the manga, the movie ends it in the first arc. The acting is good too especially Ken'ichi Matsuyama's portrayal of super-detective L.

    9. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
An excellent dark comedy about the Cold War. Its about a delusion US General trying to bomb the Soviet Union based on his crazy theory on fluoridated water. Things goes even crazier when the US tries hard to undo their mistakes. Definitely one of the best comedies I had watched.

    8. Ghostbusters
How can a movie starring 3 of the best comedians of the late 80s (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis) suck? This movie is stock with one-liners after one-liners and memorable scenes after memorable scenes. Most of the humour are presented through the script instead of the brainless slapstick comedies Hollywood are producing these days.

    7. Pirates of the Carribean
I have a small confession to make. Ever since primary school, I had been fascinated with pirates. I had even imagine myself being one. I had even played pirate-sim after pirate-sim on my computer. Unfortunately none of the games ever capture my imagination (until I played Sid Meier's Pirates last year but that's another story) and surprisingly Hollywood did not make any pirate films after a not-that-bad Cutthroat Island in the early 90s. When Pirates of the Carribean was showing I was skeptic about it being any good. I mean who would had thought a movie based on a theme park ride to be even decent? So I watched the movie with zero expectations and to my surprise it is actually a very well made film. True Orlando "Legolas" Bloom is sucky and the plot is as simple as a Saturday morning cartoon, but the way Johnny Depp carry this movie is what make this movie enjoyable.

    6. Monty Python and the Life of Brian
Decades before Da Vinci's Code become a controversy among the Christian society, this Monty Python classic had been causing quite a storm among Christians and even banned in some country. Its about the life story of a guy name Brian who happens to be born in a manger next to Jesus Christ himself. This movie parodies and make fun of religion (not God btw) and also blind zealotry. Not recommended to religious fanatics ;)

    5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
What can I say? This is definitely the most funniest comedy I had ever watched. Period.

    4. Lord of the Rings
LOTR is THE textbook of how a great fantasy film should be like. Great editing (the book is very long-winded and I am surprise how Peter Jackson actually squeeze all its contents into less than 10 hours), great casts and superbly done visual effects make this movie one of the best movies ever.

    3. Star Wars Original Trilogy
Intergalactic battles (X-wings, Tie Fighters, pew pew pew)... check. Great villain (Darth Vader).... check. Great story about good vs evil.... check. Memorable characters (Han Solo and slave Leia :P)... check. Cool action scenes (who would had thought aliens fought with fluorescent lamps as weapons could be so cool?).... check. Need I say more? :P

    2. Infernal Affairs Trilogy
Just when you thought Hong Kong movie industry is dead and creativity had run dry... they just have to surprise you with one of the best concept ever conceive in this decade. A mole vs mole flick with so many twists and turns that it make Hollywood took notice. Too bad Hollywood have to "remake" this classic into a pile of shit.

    1. The Godfather Part I and Part II
A story of how the Corleone family, the most powerful mafia family in New York, stir its way through disaster after disaster before breaking apart and how Al Pacino's Michael Corleone turned from a goody-two shoes son into a horrific mass-murderer. Definitely the best movie I had ever watched.

    To Parents

Well according to The Star, more girls are running away from home. Here's one tip for parents whose children had runaway from them. You suck. Seriously. Don't go blaming on cybercafes like our CID Director does and don't go "Oh s/he wasn't like that last time. s/he's a good girl/boy and very obedient too. It MUST be her/his friends. I told her/him not to go out with them be she wouldn't listen. Oh... I had tried my best". Right... you had tried your best nagging at them and scolding them like you did ten years ago or raise them up like how your parents raise you... Congratulations! You had given them the right to runaway from you.

For those dinosaurs who still don't get it. It's simple. Teenagers are a very fragile lot. They are like walking on a tightrope. One wrong move and "WHAM!" down they go. Every single thing that happens around them during these period is very crucial. Therefore, parents must be supportive of what they want to do and encourage them and advice them. And for the love of God... NAGGING AIN'T ADVISING AND SARCASM AIN'T ENCOURAGING! I am really happy to grow up in a great family. Both my mum and dad are really open to what I want to do. They let me do the things I want to do which won't harm myself. They let me play sports... go to cybercafes for my weekly Counterstrike fix and even don't restrict my internet time during weekends. When I join co-curriculum activities, they won't object to it. All they did was remind me of not forgetting my studies.

I know there are lots of parents who don't give their children any freedom at all. All they expect is that as long as they put food on the table and give them food to eat, their teenage children will listen to them. If that's what you want, you are better off with a dog. Heck, even dogs need to go for walks sometimes. Teenagers need freedom. They need a little privacy in things they do too. Try to give them a little freedom and in the meantime be open to them so that they will be open to you. Always give them the "I am always here if you need me" feeling instead of the "WHAT EVER I SAY YOU MUST OBEY BECAUSE I AM THE AUTHORI-TAY~" feeling.

Here, I had had my say. If you still think the "YOU MUST OBEY" approach is the best way to go... go ahead and try it. Just don't go bitching around when shit happens. Just remember at the end of the day its YOUR CHILDREN... and don't go blaming the whole world because its YOUR responsibility in the first place.

P.S: This post is only about teenagers running way from home and bad parenting. I do sympathise on cases of missing people.

    Shit Happens...

Don't you just love it when life just came crashing down on you. Everything that you do or care about just turn your back on you. For this whole MMU academic year (June 2006 til' now) is pretty shitty for me. It all started off badly with my industrial training where I suffer a slight depression due to the sudden change of environment. I was having my training alone and being an enthusiastic trainee who tries to work as hard as possible, instead of getting my work recognized, I was being pushed around by my supervisor. Just when I thought nothing could get any worse, I flunked two subjects. Its perfect timing I tell you, I had never failed any subjects in my whole degree course and just when I thought I could have graduate peacefully with no hiccups I have to fail two fucking subjects on what is supposedly my last academic year and which I am forced to extend another just for these two subjects! During this time my former close friend whom I had never talked for nearly a year due to some misunderstandings in the past had pass away due to a freak accident. It came as a shock and this is the first time in my life I had to deal with a death of a friend. It took me a week to get over it.

Just two weeks before my industrial training ends and just when I thought all these will be better once I finished my industrial training, I got into some problems with my University's management. Of course I cannot voice it here since I was given the order not to speak out about the incident again or I might face the boot. Just say it have to do with voicing out and the management is not happy with it. The whole ordeal was really mentally taxing. I was screwed over and over again by the management and was forced to attend a Student Trial and all that shit and got away with a "DON'T DO THIS AGAIN" warning (that explain I did not explain everything the whole "saga" in detail). Its like I only wanted to help but instead I was the one punished.

Just when I thought my depression won't sink anymore deeper, there are some external factors which cause me to sank even deeper. Just when I finally found the light at the end of this seemingly unending labyrinth of depression just yesterday I found out I flunked another two subjects. All of a sudden I find myself wanting to give up my studies. I have no more will to go on anymore. Each time the scenario of seeing my all my friends graduating before me I feel depress. Each time I thought of how disappointed my dad will get when he finds out I fail, I feel depress. Each time I think about how I am still going to be financially dependent on my parents... I feel depress. Being the eldest in the family, my dad still have another 2 more younger sons to support and he ain't getting any younger. He is 53 this year and I really do wish to lessen his burden by supporting myself for once.

Right now, I really don't know what to do now. Everything seems to crash down on me all of a sudden. The only thing holding my sanity together is none other than my girlfriend. The only piece of sanctuary I know I can go to during a time like this. Let's just hope life won't take away my last piece of sanity while gaining back my lost ones.

No one shall take away our rights to speak!

Just yesterday the NST decided to sue two of the most influential bloggers in the Malaysian Blogosphere, Jeff Ooi and Rocky's Bru. Click here for more details on the whole saga.

As a blogger and as a lover of democracy, I had decided to join in this protest against this stupid lawsuits which doesn't prove anything other than to soothe the egos of these dinosaurs. No one can ever take away our freedom of speech. No one other than God himself have the right to shut us up. Let us all stand together and defend our rights. Defend against this little "crusade" against us.

As a sign of supporting these two bloggers, I had paste a picture of Blogger's United by Kickdefella in my blog. Get those pictures here, if you want to show your support to these bloggers.
