Alright, before I start ranting let me fill you in about the company I am currently attached to for my Industrial Training. My company is Chinese owned electronics factory and they are very very stingy. They also want to squeeze every single worker dry. Heck, they even go as far as rationing A4 papers for office usage. Let's not even go as far as the boss rejecting to buy AutoCAD for his engineers because it costs RM8000+. He even suggested to go buy the RM5 version from our "friendly local software retailers" instead of buying the original ones. I hope some law enforcers better read this because this will be a real "money making oppoturnity" here. If you guys want to make that quick buck, you can always send me a message and I am glad to be the whistleblower ^_^. I can go on and on about how fucked up my company is but I think you get my point so I will just stop here.
So today there's this hungry ghost worship thingy going on in my company to pray for the spirits that are vacationing here in this realm during their one month long public holiday. For the past few days the boss had all the Chinese who celebrate the 7th month to do his dirty work for him. By buying those "hell" money, paper clothings, incense and candles. He even spent a few thousand bucks on food for the spirits. He even import in 2 goats which cost RM2000 each just for this occasion. In my 2 months in the company, I had never ever seen my bosses (its a partnership) being so fucking generous before. Which made me to think..
It is so fucked up that my bosses prefer to spent such a huge amount of money on spirits than using it on his employees. As much as I respect the dead, but honestly, will those spirit make him money? No! EMPLOYEES make him money. EMPLOYEES work for him. You can worship the dead all you want but at the same time you must show the same respect to the dead as much as to living people. They are the people who work their asses off for the company so they should deserve some amount of respect. If burning paper money can make you rich, then why people like Bill Gates that do not follow this tradition are way richer than my jackass bosses?
No point "belanja" the dead "makan" a huge feast when you can't even treat your workers like humans instead of machines.

What is transparency?
In Malaysia, transparency is a BIG word. How big exactly? Big enough to win you 92% of the parliament and also nearly the whole rakyat's confidence. So what does it really mean to us Malaysian? Most importantly what does transparency means to ever blogger's favourite Prime Minister, Abdullah Badawi?
You see, back when Pak Lah first step into the "throne" of the Prime Minister, he pledge to the whole nation that he wants a clean, corrupt-free and transparent country. Everyone believed him. Even me, the opposition supporter is touched by hisshit (Datuk Fu said we must practice self-censorship you know ^_^) speech. Everyone says he will bring Malaysia to new heights and shit like that. By everyone I mean the mainstream press since they always thought they know what we think.
The PM did all he could (since the Elections are coming). Releasing the Air Pollution Index to the public to show that he is no Mahathir. Next he catch a few Datuks and charge them with corruption (with their cases never to be heard of again in the papers). When the elections came he won a whooping 92%. After that all hell breaks loose. Everything that the PM once pledge seems to go down the toilet bowl called Malaysian politics. It seems the fight for corruption seem to stopped suddenly and transparency took a back seat.
Two years after the elections, scandals seem to sprout out one after another. Scandals like squat-gate, APs, Proton, MAS, Half-ass Bridge and Mahathir's several accusations on Pak Lah are all half-assly censored off. Most of them seems to follow a format like these:
Step 1: Headline the news.
Step 2: Have every single editors in the newspaper having their say on the issues.
Step 3: When the issues/scandals seems to reach it's peak and Malaysia finally had press freedom and the government is pissed.....
Step 4: With a full potong-stim way of doing things, it seems there are no such issues at all after that. There are no more reports on the issues or what so ever and finally...
Step 5: The very same reporters and editors that once condemned the issues and scandals to hell, start to defend the government.
So is that transparency in Malaysia? When something new comes up the press can report everything they want and when everything seems to reach it's climax the next thing you know it, it became silent again. Even the most transparent place in Malaysia (which is the Internet) is not spared by the higher ups. Bloggers now are threatened so that we can't have our say on the issues because to them that is misreporting. We can't have our opinions too because that is defamatory. We can't speculate too because that is called rumours. So can anyone tell me what is Pak Lah's definition of transparency?

Ministry of (Mis)Information
Please read this before reading on.
What on earth is ZAM trying to tell us here? That the media is to be blame for the violence and hideous crimes in Malaysia? I wonder which jungle did he crawled out from. The only way for the media to tone down reports on crime is when there are no crimes to be reported at all! Security in Malaysia is horrible at best and the police or the good-for-nothing ministers are doing nothing about it. Everyday there are people getting robbed in broad daylight and everyday you see people getting murdered senselessly and ZAM thinks that it is the media's fault?
Why can't those higher ups use their brains for once? We the rakyat especially the ones living in highly populated areas such as Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur are constantly living in fear. Most of us do not even fear of losing our possesions but our lifes. What had the GOVERNMENT had done to tighten up security? What had the POLICE FORCE had done to ensure that our taman-taman are safe to live in? Absolutely nothing. We see police patrols all the time and most of the time they are there to prey on us and our money for breaking minor traffic laws instead of doing their duty and ensure the safety of an area. We see Ministers threatening Bloggers and corporate buildings instead of doing what they should do: SERVE THE PEOPLE.
Wake up ZAM... stop insulting all rakyat's intelligence with your fourth World propaganda and misinformation.

Goodbye my dear friend
I knew you since you first came into MMU. We walked the same road briefly and became the best of friends. You helped me when no one wants to help. You are a very nice friend. A friend who can sacrifice for others. You had your flaws... but in the end you are a nice guy.
Then one day you pissed me off... you apologised and told me that I am one of your closest friend. I am touched... but you chose a different direction in life while I stayed on mine. We never meet each other since then and had minimal contact. One year later.. you are gone. You had passed on.
I don't know how to describe my feeling right now. Maybe its regret... regret that I had not talked to you for so long. Or was it that the friendship between us is still strong. All I can say is.. I am sad. I am very sad. My mood's fucked up right now and all I can do is pray for you. I hope you had a good afterlife. A better one than this one.
Goodbye my dear friend. I will miss you and you will always be in my memories. May God have mercy and bless your soul.

Weird?
Someone complaint that I never write anything about my personal life in my blog. So what is a better than kicking off the "third season" of my blog with an entry of my personal life, eh?
It was this evening when I was reading the newspapers in my room and I come across this picture of Pak Lah in the front page. I said "In your whole career as PM, you had never made a right decision before" to myself and than my bro who was on his way to his room heard me talking to myself. I did not notice he was right outside my room until he said "You are very weird, talking to yourself like that".
"What is wrong with talking to myself?" I asked.
"It is just so weird" he replied.
After that he walk into his room. I was still puzzled by his remark then until I remembered that he had never been alone all his life. He had always had someone to talk to and someone to play with him all his life. You see, he and my 2nd brother is only 2 years apart while me and my 2nd brother is 5 freakin' years apart. I am never close to my brothers as there is this one huge age gap between us. The only conversation that I can strike with them is about computer games that we play. Other than that, we had nothing else to say.
I really do envy my two little brothers. They are so close. When they are down, they can share their sorrows, when they are angry they had each other to complain to, when they are bored they have each other to talk to. Sadly, that's a life I had never had. A life that I wanted if I can go over this again.
I had always been growing up alone. Well its not always like this. I use to have close childhood friends when back then when me and my parents are living under a rented roof. I was living downstairs while my friends lived upstairs. Well, life changed for me when I had to moved to our very own home when I was 5. My life changed. I had been growing up alone ever since. It was during these times that I develop a habit of talking to myself.
During my childhood years, I had only myself to talk to. When I am sad, I had only myself to talk to. When I am happy, I can only share it with myself. When I am lonely, at least its not so bad... I still have my pillows and my plushie camel with me (the camel's had been long gone since secondary school). When I am bored, I only had my computer to play with. You might be wondering where are my primary school friends? Well you see, primary school for me is the worse 6 years of my life ever but that's another story for another time. When I reach my teenage years, things were better. At least I had some nice friends with me and I can go and hang out with them but still at the end of the day, I still talk to myself a lot as most of the time when I am not with my friends, I will feel alone at home and I will start talking to myself. That is why from that moment on I had started to join and organised activities up until now.
Hope nobody thinks I am weird after they read this entry >_<

It's Bear Season again ^_^
After such a long break from blogging, I decided to pick up my keyboard and start again. So many thoughts and opinions that I want to express that I can't in reality. Another factor that drive me back to blogging is that I am hoping it will help me fight away the blues of having Industrial Training in one of the worse companies in Malaysia.

Hopeless Malaysia
I had given up hope on this country.. totally. I don't think Malaysia will become any better sooner... Fuck, not even later. After the revealing of police abuse through the papers, the police doesn't seem to give a fuck about the abuse and target on the person who film the abuse instead! Malaysia feels like a mafia controlled state. The people are extorted by the police on a frequent basis instead of the mob. The people are abused and humiliated on a daily basis once they are thrown into the lock up. Fuck, we can't even report the police to the Anti Corruption Agency because we might risk a counter suit against us by a pissed off police.
Unless the government do something to clean up the police force totally, Malaysians will have to live their lives in fear from both criminals and POLICE alike.

Wow Mum, we are in the headlines again!!
Is it just me or Malaysia always made international headlines for the wrong reasons? It seem that we are all famous worldwide for the wrong reasons. Just look at the recent headlines yesterday about the now infamous video clip about the abuse of Chinese Nationals. A few hours later we made headlines internationally.
I guess we should add "police abuse" to our nation's resume together with piracy, human rights, road rage and snatch thefts.

What's the point...
..of the fight against graft and those stupid police badges claiming them to be clean when a normal Malaysian like you and I can't even lodge a report regarding a police officer claiming him/her is corrupted? I find it really funny when I read today's The Star headline regarding the Cabinet asking a policeman to drop a suit against a student who reported him. Read the news here.
I don't know about you guys but to me it sounded like a case of an old chinese saying "the thief shouting the word 'thief!'". Well at least the Cabinet is doing something right this time.

The Snake and the Throne
This story is based on a true story written by yours truly. ^_^
Once a upon a time, there lived a snake with a big ambition. This snake here wants to rule the Celestial Empire. Unfortunately for him, the Empire can only be ruled by a Dragon (the chinese snake-like dragon not the Western Dinosaur-like Dragon). Before we go any further let's have a look at how the Celestial Empire works.
Year after year a new dragon will be selected by the Wisemen Council. Once selected, the dragon will have the power to rule the Celestial Empire along with a few other selected few to help him. As you can see, being a dragon ruling the Celestial Empire is no easy task, since the Celestial Empire is very vast in terms of land and wealth. A mismanagement will costs the Empire greatly so there is a need of selecting a capable dragon each year. A dragon can stay in power more than one year if its people and the wisemen thinks he is capable enough. Unfortunately leading such a huge empire usually will exhaust the dragon greatly and the chances of the dragon to retire after it finish its term is very high.
Ok, enough about the Empire. Now let's get back to the snake. As I had mentioned earlier, the ambitious snake wanted to rule the Empire. Unfortunately for him, he do not know that he isn't good enough for the job. So day after day he will proclaim loudly to the people that he will be the ruler of the land one day. Instead of improving his leadership, he dresses like a dragon, act like a dragon and talk like a dragon so that one day the people and the wisemen will be gullible enough to believe he is the next dragon they are looking for. To those who had never met the snake before will be tricked by his "dragonly" like appearance and might think he will make a good ruler but unfortunately for him, those who knew him will know he is only a dragon-wannabe.
So year after year he will try to convince people that he is a dragon, but year after year he failed greatly because he could not fool the people once they know the real him. Can the snake ever become a dragon one day and rule the Celestial Empire? Unless he can see his own weakness or else a snake can NEVER EVER be a dragon even if he acted like one.

Is this meant to be a joke?
I noticed this booth when I was on my way to class. Some student from the Engineering faculty of MMU is organising a trip to UM and this is what the booth looked like (snapped the picture on my way home from class just now when there is no one at the booth).

Seriously, is the booth meant to be a joke or the organiser thinks UM's drop of 80 positions is indeed "world standard"? Or maybe he is brainwashed by the UM's vice-chancellor of thinking that UM performance this year is indeed "World Standard". I found myself laughing so hard that everyone from that booth is looking at me when I first saw that booth.

Things I don't understand
I just don't understand when people say:
A : I am a big fan of **insert singer name**.
Me: You mean you own all of his/her albums?
B : Nolah, I am not that richlah. I had all her mp3s in my computer.
Me: =.="
I just don't understand how people have the face of proclaiming to be a fan of a singer when they don't even buy a single original album to support their favourite singers.

R.I.P Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero, one of my favourite wrestlers of all time had just passed away. The official reason for his death is still unknown as there is no official autopsy report as I am blogging. Rumours are saying he died of a drug overdose. I am still in a state of disbelief right now after reading the news about his death.
Click here to see the official report on his death. May he rest in peace.

My F.E.A.R review
Last week, my housemate Yu Xin told me he had bought a copy of F.E.A.R. After hearing this I grew excited. It actually made me to look forward to coming back to Melaka today (we were having our semester breaks). Despite listening to the complaints of Yu Xin, I decided to give F.E.A.R a try since nearly all of the critics both online and offline (including a whole bunch of forumers) had given this game such great ratings that the last time I had seen a rating so high in a First Person Shooter is Half-life 2's. After much anticipation I finally got to played it and boy AM I FUCKING DISAPPOINTED.
Here's what I think of F.E.A.R
Short Review
It's overhyped
It's overrated
It's graphics is one of the best out there
It's mediocre
It's frightening.... NOT
Last but not least it's definitely NOT WORTH THE HYPE
Long-ass Review
I just don't understand how critics rate this game as if it is one of the must play games of the year. The graphics is nice, the sound is ok, the storyline is definitely not it's selling point and last but not least the gameplay is mediocre at best. Monolith uses lots of cheap scare tactics which only work once on me and that's it. They fail to deliver the same type of scary environment you find in survivor horror games. Heck, it's not as scary as Doom or the Rivenholm (or issit Ravenholm?) level in Half-life 2. The only plus point to the gameplay is the excellent AI.
This game is seriously overhyped. It's even more overhyped than both Half-life 2 and Doom 3 put together and yet it just fall short of my expectations of that game.
Overall, I give this game a 6.5 out of 10 for its great graphics and some great use of physics DURING slow motion and of course great AI. Last but not least, I had never been both so excited and so disappointed in anything since Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

Respect your elders they say >_<
Some of the elderly population should not be respected at all! Don't you hate those uncles and aunties that you didn't even know that act so high and mighty when they see young people? I had my share of encounters of some rude uncles and aunties that are very inconsiderate and act very disrespectful to young people.
I was on the bus to Genting and there was this uncle sitting in front of my girlfriend. The sun was shining towards our direction and when she tried to pull half the curtain to cover her beautiful face from being burn by the sun, the uncle in front of her pull it away and hogged the whole curtain to himself. When we tried to pull a little back (the curtain is very big actually) he just pulled it away. Not just that, just when I thought that was it some aunty comes along and shake my chair violently. She wants me to give way for her to take her seat and my chair is blocking her route. Instead of saying a polite "excuse me" she shook my chair violently and didn't speak a single word. Then I said out loudly to my girlfriend (on purpose) "What is wrong with people today? Can't they even say excuse me?". Fuck, don't they even know the saying "if you want people to respect you, you must respect others as well"? Maybe they think that they are immune to this saying as there is another saying that goes "Respect your elders" so that they can demand respect from anyone younger then them.
Well I can go on and on about my few more encounters in the LRT or Train Station or Bus Terminals but I think I stop here before this entry becomes a novel.

Malaysia Memang Boleh Episode III
As usual Malaysia is in the news for the wrong reasons. This time our government is blamed for failing to act on the piracy issue. Read the article on BBC here.
Well according to the article we are rank no.1 in the piracy game. This is the 2nd report I had come across stating Malaysia as the biggest exporter in pirated softwares, music and movies. The last one being last year which was reported by Gamespot. It seem that after a year Malaysia is still being able to maintain its position as a "superpower" in the pirated software, music and movies industry. Maybe soon you will see billboards on the roads stating "Terima Kasih, kerana sokongan anda, negara kami telah dinobatkan dalam 3 kategori iaitu 'Biggest Exporter of Pirated Software', 'Biggest Exporter of Pirated Software' dan 'Biggest Exporter of Pirated Software'" which is endorsed by the Government.

Will this happen in Malaysia?
Was reading an article on Rosa Park in Wikipedia and found this link attached to it, an article called the Jim Crow law which segregate the whites from the blacks. It is something like the South Africa apartheid but for the apartheid, it is more like minority setting the rules.
After reading the article a question struck me, "Will this law be introduce in Malaysia in the near future?". Malaysia might look like one united country on the outside, but on the inside all of us knows that racial tolerance is slowly fading away and it is not as strong as it use to be.
Let's hope that the dream of creating a Bangsa Malaysia will be fulfiled soon instead of this nightmare.

Babe of the Month: Yuko Ogura
Ok ham sap lous it's time for The Bear Cave's November edition of Babe of the Month (BOM). For this month's BOM we have the ever-cute Japanese girl... Yuka Ogura. Born 1st November 1983 (it's been a long time since I featured someone older with the last one being Rena Tanaka) this girl is from Tokyo. Despite her age of 22 she looks more like 16. So here's her pics.

Things that are uniquely Malaysian
I can't believe it, three entry within 3 hours. That's what happens when one had too much time to waste.
1. Whenever-something-goes-wrong-it's-not-my-fault attiude.
Whenever something bad happens, the involved Ministry will push the blame to someone else and most of the time they blame us, the innocent rakyat.
2. Boasting-even-if-we-suck-so-much attitude
I still remember that our DPM boasting on how Malaysia's GDP is higher than Ghana's when we are rank lower than most ex-Soviet countries with a hard-to-pronounce name that gain their independence way later than us (to view the rankings, click here). Another example is how UM boast they are the top 200 Universities in the World despite falling 80 places.
3. Screw-racial-unity attitude
With politicians shouting racist stuffs in the parliament and still get away with it, it is no wonder after so many years of independence, racial unity is still so far away. **CENSORED**
So there you have it, the three things (that I can think off) that make us uniquely Malaysian. Feel free to add more in the comments area.

Why can't local grads can't get hired (The Bear Cave Edition)
Woke up this afternoon and the first thing I do was read the newspapers (The Star). A glance at the headlines I am pissed. As usual they are blaming parents and grads on the local grads unemployment rate. Look, as much as the parents and the grads are to blame, the government should also share the blame.
Why can't grads get a job? Why can't higher education ensure grads a job? At the rate our government are giving University status to colleges, I can see why most of the companies out there do not trust the quality of education here. Not just that, you can see private colleges those with a size of a shophouse or smaller that is tied to some foreign university that is unheard of are beginning to sprout out like mushrooms after the rain. There is no control over the amount of private colleges in this country. At this rate, sooner or later we are going to become another India. Everyone you see on the streets are degree holders.
Another reason why companies refuses to employ local grads is simple, the quality of our Univeristies (especially public ones) are declining. Just look at UM. They drop 80 places in just one year and still they are celebrating as if they got number 1 and they seem that everything is ok. When you drop so many places in just one year the first thing you do is ADMIT your mistakes and learn from it. If I am the boss of some company (be it a small one) do you think I will employ grads from UM?
The last reason I am going to stress about is ENGLISH. Unless we have a market as big as China or have kickass technologies that can rival the Japanese, English is very important. Whether our UMNO politicians like it or not, when we get into the job market (private sector) the only chance we can use BM is when ordering food from mamak stalls or dealing withincompetent government workers. The government especially the stubborn Pemuda UMNO politians should wake up from their "blind nationalism" and start encouraging Malaysians to start learning English. They should as well stress the importance of English instead of avoiding it like the plague.
So there you have it, my second rant on this whole local grads unemployment thingy. Here's the link to my first one.
